Watching Josh walk a 240′ line over a river

Last weekend not only did I get to play with bears but I got to hang out with a truly awesome person and watch him walk a crazy longline over water. If you don’t know Josh he is a pioneer in the sport of slackline.  He called me to congratulate me on my GATOR SLACKLINE VIDEO and asked if I wanted to come hang out, slackline a little and watch him walk a 240 foot line 10 feet above a river. It was a quick yes and I packed up the family and we headed to Golden. My daughter loves watching the tricks Josh does and then tries to recreate them. Most of our visit was him helping her with a couple new tricks she wanted to learn. After about an hour Josh said he wanted to show us the river longline before it got dark. While watching them set it up I knew it would be a challenge with the water rushing under the line and just how damn far across it was. I admit we missed the first 50 to 75 feet of the walk because I was just blown away at how easy Josh was making it look. When I realized how cool this was I told Belinda she should start recording it and she got great footage of him the rest of the way.  I’m very lucky to have such a skilled friend be a mentor and I can’t wait to go slacklining with my friend again.  Check out the video of Josh walking the river right HERE
